Hello! I’m Oneida Escobar, a Certified Lactation Counselor and proud momma to two beautiful girls, 20 months apart—a spirited 2-year-old and a sweet 11-month-old.
My own lactation journey has been a mix of challenges and joys. While I breastfed both my daughters, our experiences were unique and meaningful in their own ways.
After an unplanned Cesarean with my first, I navigated the world of exclusive pumping for a year, wrapping up that chapter in May 2023.
With my second daughter, I’ve embraced chest feeding from the start, and I’m still on this evolving journey.
As a working mom, I truly understand the pressures we face as we balance our roles and advocate for our lactation needs in today’s fast-paced world.
I believe that every breastfeeding journey is unique, and with the right support, any momma can achieve her feeding goals.
If you’re looking for someone dedicated to taking all possible steps to ensure your journey is as successful as it can be, I’m here for you!
Together, we can navigate the beautiful and sometimes challenging path of nourishing your little one, all while building confidence in your choices.
I still freak out that I am a mom. Not only that but a mom of TWO little humans!
I could go shopping for hours and not walk out of the store with a single item purchased. I'm a "thoughtful" shopper.
YouTube was how I learned to cook. That makes me sad that I don't have my Grandma's recipes, but the palm of her hand was never an accurate measurement!
I was a lifeguard for a Summer in College in San Diego and that is the most tan I had ever been in my life. I am talking like 10 shades darker!
I have had a dog in my life continuously for at least 20 years! My current fur baby was a shelter adopted pup nearing 10ish years.
White peaches spark some of my favorite childhood memories.
I like to mix my beans and rice. Potato salad and rice is even better. I don't know why!
I HATE the cold season. Enough said. One of the reasons I favored remote work!
Pocahontas was my favorite childhood movie.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would enter into the world of lactation work. But when the universe put this in my path, I couldn't resist! I truly think this is the work of fate that I am here with you.
My path to supporting families in their lactation journeys is rooted in an intertwined diverse and meaningful educational background.
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Stanislaus State University, followed by teaching credentials from Fresno State. After years of teaching, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Counseling, inspired by a deep passion for helping individuals navigate important and transformative moments in their lives.
What is more transformative than motherhood? Am I right!?
Becoming a mom myself brought its own challenges, particularly with breastfeeding. These experiences ignited a desire to combine my teaching and counseling skills with a new focus—lactation support.
I dedicated myself to this work by completing over 120 hours and counting of specialized lactation education and achieving national certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP).
Currently, I’m further honing my skills through clinical training as I work toward the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) designation. The gold standard of lactation.
This strong foundation of teaching, counseling, and lactation expertise allows me to meet families where they are, offering not just education but personalized care and actionable strategies.
Ultimately, my goal is to empower parents, helping them feel supported, confident, and capable as they work toward their individualized goals.
